Shop
We sell a wide range of cattle and sheep health care products including lambing supplies, footbath disinfectants, marking sprays etc.
We also stock an extensive range of wormers, ectoparasitic products and vaccines and are often able to order specific products on request, so if there is something particular that you are looking for, please come in and we will do our best to find it for you.
Tup management
We can perform tup semen testing for your own peace of mind and to ensure your tups are fit to work before tupping. The test is relatively quick and simple and can be performed either at the practice or on farm to give you an assement of your tups fertility within minutes.
We also offer tup vasectomies to produce teaser tups to increase flock lambing performance.
Infectious Disease Control
We work closely with the external laboratories to provide preventative and diagnostic infectious disease control including but not limited to BVD, IBR, Leptospirosis and Johnes management and eradication.
We would encourage all livestock keepers to consider disease monitoring and recommend membership of a Checs approved health scheme for those wishing to attain a high health status. Please see the links below for more details.
Herd and Flock Health Planning
We work closely with our dairy, beef and sheep farmers to provide detailed Herd and Flock Health plans. These plans are fully in accordance with the Red Tractor Farm Assurance Scheme and tailored to fit your individual farm practices and requirements.
Preventative health planning and benchmarking livestock performance can be an invaluable asset to improving your herd or flocks productivity.
Parasite Control
With our in-house laboratory equipment, we can examine faecal samples from both cattle and sheep and provide a faecal worm egg count in order to advise on effective and appropriate wormer use to combat intestinal parasites on your farm. For more advanced techniques we work in conjunction with external laboratories to identify other parasites such as Liver Fluke and Lungworm.
